Toulouse: 2nd stage of Vert Chez Vous

Toulouse: 2nd stage of Vert Chez Vous

After Paris, Vert chez Vous , the specialist in eco-responsible urban distribution, is setting up shop in Toulouse. In order to ensure the distribution of parcels weighing less than thirty kilos in the city centre, Vert Chez Vous Toulouse combines a logistics base at the gates of the pink city with a fleet of electric vehicles or NGV (natural gas for vehicles) ranging from three-wheeled bicycles to 3T5s.

Toulouse, a choice of the heart

Opening an agency in Toulouse is not a trivial choice. André Labatut, one of the co-founders of Vert chez Vous, runs the Labatut Group, which was founded nearly a century ago by his grandfather in Saint-Elix le Château, a few kilometres from the pink city. He is a very active economic player in the region and knows perfectly well the city's traffic constraints, but also its assets and opportunities. In addition, with the arrival of Vincent Clerc, a player at Stade Toulousain and international rugby player, in the shareholding of Vert chez Vous last March, Toulouse was once again in the spotlight.

Toulouse, the green city

The pink city also comes in green. In 2011, it was awarded the French Capital of Biodiversity prize by the Natureparif agency. However, despite its good ecological management of green spaces, Toulouse suffers from real problems of congestion1 and CO2 concentration. This is why the city set up its Deliveries Charter last November, which limits the delivery times of internal combustion vehicles in the city centre.

Vert chez Vous therefore represents a real alternative for delivering small parcels in the city centre. The urban distribution specialist guarantees 100% eco-responsible transport, real time and productivity savings and punctual deliveries.

How does it work?

Today, Vert chez Vous Toulouse has a fleet of electric and CNG vehicles (three-wheelers, vans and 3T5s), and a logistics warehouse in the south of Toulouse, in the Grand-Portet shopping area. Located on the outskirts of Toulouse, the warehouse is about ten minutes from the Place du Capitole

Nevertheless, Vert chez Vous is currently in negotiations to set up a 300m2 breakout logistics base in the centre of Toulouse, a stone's throw from the confluence point between the Garonne and the Canal du Midi. Finally, the eco-responsible last-mile specialist is also studying the feasibility of a river logistics organisation, following the example of the success of the Vert warehouse barge-chez Vous Paris.

The management of Vert chez Vous Toulouse has been entrusted to Gautier Darbas, who previously worked at Veolog, the logistics subsidiary of the Labatut Group, from 2005 to the present.

"Our ambition is to become the reference partner for the delivery of parcels weighing less than thirty kilos in Toulouse intramuros. Our solution is recognized by many professionals2 and already adopted by several manufacturers in Paris. Some of them have already given us their agreement in principle for us to ensure their flows to Toulouse. We are also in contact with a number of companies that wish to entrust us with the daily replenishment of their points of sale located in the city centre, but also the home deliveries of their end customers. Finally, with our larger tonnage vehicles, we are equipped to deliver heavier and bulkier goods such as furniture , for example," concludes Gautier Darbas.
